Hi, Can anyone offer any advice please. I have replaced the cam and chain and am trying to replace the front camchain guide but it sits about an inch or so above the slot in the head when located in the holder in the front of crank case. My query is should it be flush in the slot or will the cover pull it down when fitted? though it does not feel very flexible. The rear one with the adjuster is fine.

make sure the blade is located right down in the block.

It's definatley flush with the top of the block
