hello

Hping somebody can advise me, i have purchased a 2006 yamaha xt 125r it was being used offroad, and stopped working, the wiring has been hacked apart, lights removed relays and diodes stripped, and goodness knows what else i did buy a haynes manual sort of helped me a little, i also purchased a new battery, starter relay, ht coil, cdi, stator and generator, however it still wont start, somebody did mention that the xt uses power from the battery to start, however i can get it to turn over, would i be correct in saying that i have to have the cluth swith and stand switch on the bike before it will turn over? i have also purchased diodes for the electrical system (clutch/brake switches) do they have to be all linked before i can attempt to start it.

thanks

in advance
