TheSaffer
Hi, I would really like to know if someone might have a clue to what this little adjuster screw does... Its a 2003 R1 I adjusted this one day when I was after the idling adjuster... stupid I know! Since I played with this my bike has never idled correctly when cold. So I assume it must be something to do with the cold start fuelling or something. I attached the pictures so you can see which one I mean... Is there any way to get the correct adjustment??? Many thanks
2 Wheels
Havent a clue sir, But did ya not count how many times ya turned it and now just turn it back ! Youll have to wait for some of the R1 fans to come on and sort ya !
TheSaffer
Looks like it might be the automatic choke???
Ttaskmaster
I know feck-all about this bike, but... My guess would be that it alters the air/fuel mixture. I've done this myself before, when seeking the idle adjuster. You can take it to get professionally tuned (unless you have the equipment yourself), or get a Colortune kit and DIY - Not as precise as the pro kit, but basically good enough.
