I have a '90 3HE FZR600 and have bought two rev counters and neither work. Both revs give a reading so i believe its my wiring.

Where does the REv counter pic up its pulse? SPARK? COILS? :?: .... i want to no before i strip the bike in search of faulty wiring. :?

My guess is that'd be the coils to start tracing wiring from :wink:

K, cheers for advice, ive just bought made sense of the wiring loom diagrams in the manual, and had a spoke to an auto-electrician so over the next day or so when i get time, ill have a poke around!

HiIm a newby, i have the same prob with my xj 600n yamaha tried 2 tachos no luck, so i would try the igniter i think thats where the wire comes from. or it could b a bad earth i was going to run a earth wire from the battery to the tacho hope this makes sense!!!
