can any 1 help ..how do u measure and change the settin on the float ?

Float bowl off, carb flipped upside down

X = 20-21mm

I bend the small tab labeled A to adjust the height.

what do u measure it against mate ?

when measuring it .do i turn carb up the ryt way and let the floats hang or up side down and measure ?

Stand the carb upside-down (as pictured below) on a desk or similar and use a steel rule to measure the distance X in the diagram. Place the end of the rule in the red rectangle, take measurement from the side as arrowed. Should they need adjusting, bend the small tab circled, being very careful not to break it.

Just remember when checking to make sure that the adjusting tang of the float (item A in first diagram) is JUST touching the tip of the needle valve (item as it is spring loaded and if you let the floats rest under their own weight you will get a false reading .Tony

The weight of the floats is not enough to compress the spring in the valve, providing the spring is not broken.

carb in now set up as air screw 1 nd a half turn tick over screw 3 turns .and floats at 21mm thanks alot :)tried kikcing it over but didnt want to start for sum reason
