i started up the bike today,

and it back fired,

spitting off the left hand pipe.

it's the welded on to the coller type on my bike ,not the loose coller jobbie.

is this common, and is it repairabubble.

oh oh oh your so not funny..

the pipe isn't as bad as i first thought,

the manafold collar has a sleeve that fits inside the downpipe,

then welded at the collar ,it 's a clean break at the weld so looks like an easy fix..

It will HAVE to rev its nuts off with Kev on to get up the slightest incline. It will be like a two wheeled Hemaroid. :o:(

your back then,,twot..

it's worse than i thought, stripped it down and noticed that it isn't welded,

it's a push fit with two spings supporting it :( (ie, the collets bolted to the manifold ,the down pipe slides over it )

how shit is that  ,

has anyone any idea how to seal this type of set up as it's blowing, even though it looks and feels a tight fit ,it's obviously not..

maybe it just needs a new seal, some exhausts on racers have all their exhaust system "sprung" together, stops it falling off!

Call it sixth sense but I feel you are rather upset. <_<

Have a look at your parts book, lets hope you haven't coloured in the relevant page, and see if the offending bolt is a stud. If it is - its easy to replace. B)
