guym
Looking at an XJ550 that has stood for 5 years, What should I pay special attention to besides getting it started.
Seca82
I would say getting it started first, if it absolutely won't start at least try and check to see if it will turn and if there is compression. I have the same bike runs great but parts are not too cheap.
wild foamy
electronics may have suffered at that age, check it all works but other than that getting it started is a major thing, these aircooled engines have huge tolerances and so they tend to go on forever aslong as the oil is changed
Tony-Howes
Hi Guym For a second post I would suggest an intro in the new members section! I’m sure if you decide to get the bike you’ll get all the help here. I’ve just started putting my seca back together One thing I will say is if you need any parts then you need fairly deed pockets...
