Hi All, I have recently purchased a Yamaha Aerox 50 which is running fine but I was wanting to give it a bit more pull and help when it comes to hills.

I believe it’s derestricted as it will do 40mph-50mph, I have changed the spark plug, replaced the air filter pad and I am going to change the transmission oil when I next get the time.

I would really like to add a sports air filter but it seems that up jetting is required which I am unsure on???

Also I would like to fit a sports exhaust but I am unsure on what else may need adjusting when fitting one???

Any advice would be great??

Failte: to the YOC B)

You could do all that work and only get 2 - 3 mph more speed.

Save your money and be happy with the small bike it is.

50mph is good for a 50cc

A friend of mine had an aerox, and was not impressed with the power, so he bolted on a 70cc kit, bigger carb, differant rollers, exhaust and a performance filter. have a look into this

there was a noticable gain in power!

16's can only ride 50cc though  like I said you can ride 125 at 17, altogether a much better solution especially with the law and the insurance company

And at a guess a noticeable shortening in the life expectancy, as is the case usually when getting more power from a scoot/bike. But given that scooters are more or less designed as disposable machines (3-4 year life expectancy??) then it is going to have a greater effect than tunning a bigger cc machine IMO.
