Coming to the replacemnet electrics and looking for a nos or good used cdi unit for this bike, does anyone now where I can get one from, apart from ebay, or is there a equivalent unit being made today that will suffice many thanks Ian

Are you aware that it is the same CDI as a later version DT175? and have you done all the checks because replacing the CDI is the very last thing to do if you have no spark. Works great , cost about a tenner, and was actually delivered within a week. I dont know if Yam sell them anymore but no doubt they will be expensive. Hope this is of some use. Cheers

It will be 6 wires mark part# 3J0 85540 20 and I still say everything else should be eliminated first, but i will add that Ian was a little bit 'economical' with what he said and for all I know his could be missing

I've had a few bits now and no probs
