Yamaha808 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Aloha from Hawaii, I have a 1977 Yamaha XS360 Im going to remove the stock air filter and add K&N Pod Filters. I'm going to leave the exhaust system stock. Do I need to rejet the carbs? How do I know I need to rejet? Ive read somewhere that the signs are backfiring, and plug color. Is this right? If I need to rejet, then what are the specs (jets, etc.), settings I need to get near it needs to be running right? The second question is, what do I do with the pipe that ran from the motor to the carbs?it actually attached from the plastic split tube that ran from carbs to engine case. I'm assuming this is the crankcase breather? Now that I'm replacing with pods, do I just cap that breather with a breather filter? How will this affect the carb function? Thanks so much for any help. Just scratching my head and wondering what have I gotten myself into. Any answers will help me...
