Morning all,

I've been trying to remove the engine from my DT for about two weeks now. All that's holding the sucker together is the bolt that goes between the frame, engine and swing arm.

I've literally smacked the shit out of with a 4lb lump hammer and it just aint moving. At all.

Is it worth taking it to an engineers or a garage to get it out on a hydraulic press or similar??

Photo?

Have you now damaged the bolt...as in mushroomed it?

If a bolt like this wont budge try placing a tube against a solid wall or somethhing, then hit the bolt into the tube. ;)

Yeah it was mushroomed loads, but I ground it all off, still not moving. I'll try the tube method. Just need to find a suitable tube...

So frustrating! Just want to get the engine out!
