zedsdeadboy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 hi, can anyone offer advice, i have been restoring my DT250MX, started it today for the first time in 10+ years, it been at the back of my garage and i thought it was about time i put it back to it's full glory, after about 10 kicks it fired up, i had previuosly taken the carb off the bike and given it a good clean, the engine ran at 6000 revs and then the revs started to increase so i turned it off, the throttle seems to operate correctly at the handle bar execept that it doesnt release on it's own, help please
Moderator Airhead Posted September 28, 2010 Moderator Posted September 28, 2010 Hi and welcome to another retro DT fan so are you saying the engine races but the throttle slide is closed?, you have not put the slide in the wrong way round have you? The cutaway should face the airbox.
zedsdeadboy Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 i might have, i took the carb off a couple of weeks ago and can't remember which way i put the cut away, i will check tomorrow, hopefully it will be that easy, many thanks
