Posted September 28, 201014 yr My Vstar950 has done about 15,000 miles; very reliable I ride it every day. Just recently I have noticed that the idle speed seems high sometimes. It goes to around 2,000 rpm instead of the usual 1,000. It was particularly bad last weekend I went for a ride over the mountains (9,000 feet) it was also a very hot day... whenever I stopped it took several minutes for the idle speed to return to normal. I checked the throttle cable adjustment - I don't think anything is sticking - could there be something wrong with the fuel injectors? There's virtually no information on line about these bikes that I have found, and I am not about to take it to a dealer... Any help is much appreciated. Geoff
