Posted September 14, 201014 yr Hi ive just bought a dtr 125 54 plate nice condition totally standard , i dont know anything about bikes but ive seen a lot with the dep exhaust system fitted. I was wondering if this system makes a lot of difference to the the power or if yo need to tweek up the engine to really make a difference. And also is it possible to just put on the silencer ? pete lancs

And also is it possible to just put on the silencer ? pete lancs No to lots of difference, does make a noticeable difference though. Yes you can fit just the silencer afaik. ( They sound pretty good to) Biggest difference you will see/feel is earthing the wire behind the speedo/headlight.
