Posted September 8, 201014 yr I posted this same question initially in the wrong forum (it's an age thing) so here it is again and hopefully in the correct forum:- My XV110 has no oil pump chain tensioner and the chain seems quite slack. Haynes Manual says there is a tensionsioner which is part the chain cover but I've heard elsewhere the later models (mine is 1986) do not have a tensioner. Shall be grateful if anyone can say for sure whether my engine should have a chain tensioner or not.
