Thought id share this with you guys to avoid it happening to you !

I recently bought an exhaust from this company , and after 2 days they contacted me and 10pm informing me it would be with me by the end of September ?!?! I was wondering if any of you guys have had similar problems ?

I'm afraid that's the way the market works - they won't have it on the shelf, so will need to order from a manufacturer who's probably got set production run times. Then there's shipping delays etc., 4 weeks isn't too bad tbh - I had an 8 week wait for a stainless 'zorst for my old Honda 500, and that was manufactured in Britain!

4 Weeks, it could be worse. Ive seen guys pay £thousands for kit and having to wait months. It's called Just In Time Manufacturing....... Just in time for what I'm not sure!

If it was an oil filter, brake pads etc then I'd be unhappy, but a pipe isn't something they'll have off-the-shelf, unless it's a popular model, even then you'll be looking at maybe a couple of weeks.

Hmm this is true , however maybe they could improve by informing me of the wait :P however after some further research I found the myscooterparts.co.uk Free next day delivery ! bargain :).

Whilst were on the subject of exhausts ..... do you think im gonna need to upjet with a new sports exhaust ?

Thanks Again guys

People are too quick to slag off companies, also without allowing the company to put its side of the story. Perhaps next time you'll ask if the item is in stock before ordering!

I agree, there is alot of this about. However there are so many companies willing to take an order, and the payment but not being in a position to ship the goods - faults on both sides. I don't thinks it's unfair to assume when you order goods, and the comapny takes payment, that the goods are available for delivery within a few days. Many companies can help themselves by making buyers aware of the delivery times etc.

As a buyer, you should always ask what the delivery time is going to be, if they fall outside that then they are fair game.

hay thats not bad ! at least they informed you ! there is a company up my way who claim to be a 125 specialist! (big sign on the front saying it) so when i went there looking for a chain and sprocket set with a smaller rear sprocket for a sachs roadster 125 i thought yeah they will sort it no problems!

so i payed my cash. (150 about ish)

i ended up waiting 3 months!

month 1 they got the front sprocket with chain, found the front sprocket wasnt the right one! (even though i told them which one to get!) back to the shop with the front sprocket "ok soz m8 will order one in, will be here in 2 weeks!"

2 weeks l8r went back.

"soz m8 we cant get hold of any"

<_< refund!

ok so i wanted a rear sprocket with 3 teeth more

"ok m8 no probs" got one in the shop (i took my old one in to compare)

"but the chain will take a week" hmmmm.......ok i thought <_<

got home put the sprocket on (went to cmc to get the front sprocket! 1 week!)

put front and rear sprocket on then went to pick up the chain. got home and the chain is the wrong pitch!!!! and so is the rear sprocket!!!:angry::angry:

went back.

"ever so sorry m8 we will sort it out be about a week"

went back a week l8r

"soz cant get hold of the rear sprocket but we have the right size chain"

i went fookin ballistic! got a full refund and a free x link heavy duty chain for the trouble!

and you think you got it bad! during that time i was paying me m8 to take me to and from work, every trip to the shop cost me a fiva, and i was where i started (nearly)

so il never EVER go back to that shop for anything! not even a piece of toilet paper to wipe my ass with!

soz for the rant i cant help myself when i get started. but yeah they say patiance is a vertue and 9 times out of ten there right. :D
