Try the ebay seller below. Located in Indonesia and has patterns for many older bikes. If he does not have one for your bike, contact him and he will direct you to send him your tired, old and tattered cover and in 2-4 weeks you will receive a repro replacement FREE! Just bought one for my '80 XS400 and found it to be a pretty accurate copy.

Thanks I try him but, unfortunantly the original is gone and someone put a universal one on.

A while ago I saw an EBay seller from Canada that had them. They looked pretty good and original design from what I could tell. There was one in the US too but the postage from there to AUS is ridiculous and not worth it. In the end I got one made locally as a temporary measure and might never get around to getting another one.

Searching EBay might turn up something if people are still making them

Not sure if this helps, but if you have the old seat (even if it is completely tore to pieces) there is a place that will recover and renovate any seat for around $100. If you are interested, let me know, and I will dig up the website. They are in the States.

I can't tell you which design is correct for your model and year bike but Pit Replica is pretty knowledgeable about these covers. The one for my '80 XS400 came from them and they are currently making one for my son's '81 XS400 - a different style from the one on the '80. The seat cover style often changed from year to year. In addition, seats were sometimes replaced by previous owners with better condition ones from other year bikes. Besides verifying the actual year of your bike, you need to search the web to find some pics of your year that are supposed to have the correct seat. All this adds to the frustration and fun of outfitting older bikes! =:-)

I sent TC at Pit Replica about 7 pics of 75 DT175s and 1 or 2 74 DT175s and they all had the bigger seat like mine. I also sent him a pic of an original 74 DT 125 that has the little seat like he sent me.

He put alot of effort into trying to help me but ended up refunding me and saying my seat is wrong or European.

BTW If you put that smaller CT style seat on a 75 DT 175 like mine, it would not reach from the tank to the luggage rack, no way.

I thought I had emailed Ceet already but I check with them Thanks

Just received my seat and foam from Ceet yesterday for my DT1E and really impressed with it, quiet expensive but it looks a quality item.

Hi I Have a 1G1 Dt 175 My original seat needs recovering, the base and foam seem ok, I ordered a new complete seat from a Thailand E-bay shop the seat I got back was shorter than my original, but it still fitted the hinges and lock location, so I use it till I get mine covered. the difference is in the seat base. my original seat has a factory fitted extension piece welded to it must of been like this from new, I guess that western Butts are larger than eastern butts so for the western market the seats were made bigger, I know this does not help but it explains why the shop thinks it has sent the right seat cover, and the cover does not fit.

Sounds like you were dealing with Pit-Replica out of Thailand too, I will check my seat for that extension, I bit the big one this morning (with the bosses permission) and bought this NOS Cover http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350383716500&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Hello, I think I may need to change my user name or open a new account, I have a 75' DT175 but I collect Honda CT70s mostly thus the username CT_Addict, this must be causing confusion here because of the CT enduros. Sorry
