I am completely new to forums so bear with me please.I have a 1993 XJ600 Diversion. It has been standing quite a while now. With a fully charged battery it turns over with no problem but will not start. There is a solenoid mounted on the rear of the engine. One pipe goes to the float bowl of the right hand carb and the other pipe to the cylinder head. The solenoid does not click.Could this stop my bike from running.Ive checked the fuel filter, pipes etc and all is ok.What is this solenoid for.I can find no info in my old Haynes manual. Many thanks for any help.PHIL

Hi phil....I dont know much about the bike, but the guys who will, like to know a bit about where you are coming from & a hello goes a long way, you will get a better response from the folk on here by saying a bit about yaself in your first post ,also as much info as posible on the problems your having , like all the things tried & haven't (etc can mean anything ?) It could be a number of things preventing the bike starting . But I think what you are on about is the automatic choke, :)
