hendrix999
Just thought id post some detailed pics of the different parts you can start adding to the Midnight Star 950 as they are pretty difficult to find anywhere on the net. So to start with heres the sissy bar with the luggage rack attached - all quick lock - takes about 10 second to remove and is lockable: The Whole Unit: Key mechanism (I keep the spare key in the tookit under the seat) Fitted to the bike - as you can see the luggage rack sits quite high up. Soft Saddlebag rails (these are different to the ones for the hard bags) - they dont attach to the quicklock mechanism and so are a pain to remove quickly. As you can see they angle out quite far: The bags hook onto the bottom of the rails and are zipped to a leather piece you install under the seat Heres a view of the bike - they really suit the look and are very sleek : They stick out a little bit less than the handle bars maybe the distance of the floorboards: The engine bars are fairly nice looking for what they are - some nice angles instead of the usual curves: Not enough room for half face helmet though: Enough for two size twelve boots: Locking mechanism looks easily breakable could easily be replaced with proper lock Would be easy to get into also they dont lock to the bike - this shouldnt be a problem in my opinion as I wont be keeping much valuable in them and who would nick them anyway?! Can easily be zipped on and off and have carrying handle Loads of room for pillions legs in front of them - they dont get in the way at all: Okay thats all any questions just ask - hope some of this has been helpfull if you are considering buying some of this stuff. The seat and quick lock side plates are VERY high quality and worth the money in my opinion. The bags are nice and match the style of the bike which is why I got the Yamaha ones but other manufacturers make ones with better features - locks etc. Will see how they fare in British weather this summer!
