Hi all,

We have finally gotten our engine to de-seize!! Yay!!

Only problem is we still can't get it started and have an electrics issue.

ideas where to start looking???

Well rick," start with the obvious, spark at plug, if none side cover off, and check pionts, [ spark & gap] They [ DTs] don"t need a charged battery, coz magneto ignition, & get a manual.

post up pics, is it the red/ whie model. ?

Yes it is the red/white model. We have had a look and it is the points.... have just searched the internet and don't seem to be able to find any. Any ideas where we may find some points for it?

Will post pics asap.

Thanks

Eb*y-got some points for my '73 CT3 a while ago no problem. Also check your local Yamaha dealer. They still have lots of old parts.
