i was doing some stuff to my bike today and i had the panels off.. got into the bit where the fuses are etc.. moved the cdi and noticed it had beed cut open around the top so you can remove the shell revealing the guts(circuitbaord i guess?)

any ideas? has it been modded? is there a mod... help lol

I can't say for sure because i don't know th TW125, but with some bikes there is the possibility to adjust the timing of the spark from within the CDI, it may also have been someones attempt to find/remove any restrictions.
