Was thinkin, they rent touring bikes fir $700 a week, unlimited milage...

i dont tour that much, instead of trying to save fir a sport tourer, i could just just rent a full dressed electra glide in blue 8)

When i wanted to go far away.

Lets see, betcha i could do at least 5000 miles in a week, those bikes last what, 50,000 miles as rentals? i dunno...

So, fir $700 i get to use up how much value on a $25,000 motorcycle :?:

Didnt know this was going to be a math puzzler, did ya

Seems to me renting is better than buying, if we are talking about HD's

And as you know, if you bought a HD you'd be expected to go round offering blowjobs!

If i buy, its gotta be made in the land of the Ry Zen Sun 8)

Dem little nippers make the best chit

That'd be the only way to suppliment the income, because you'd be finding out 1st hand, what HD actually stands for.........HUNDRED DOLLARS it'll cost ya everytime you step through the doors of a local HD dealer

Here's a good one!

I delivered the XT yesterday to the dealer in Haverfordwest (90 miles away) so I'm now bikeless till 1st September.

Anyway, ran into an old mate of mine there and he was telling me that he'd taken a new Triumph on a demo run.

He got about 20 miles into the countryside (where mobiles don't work) and the bike broke down!

So he had to leave it at the side of the road and hitchhike back to the dealers...took him most of the day to get back!

He's decided to stick with his Transalp!

 poor guy! so did triumph still try and sell him the bike?

The success of HD is all about marketing and image, it is nothing to do with ability. Bit like the new BMW Mini, ATVs and thin women.

ALOT of Truth in there, Alan  :tu

What's wrong with thin women? Unless your talking about anorexic sorts :?:

What's wrong with thin women?

1) They can't do heavy lifting.

2) They slip between planks on wooden bridges.

3) They get wrinkles as they age.

4) They don't make good bouncers.

5) They're uncomfortable.

6) They don't float if your boat capsizes.

7) They can't keep so much of the sun out of your eyes.

8) You can't shelter behind them in high winds.

9) They can't hold you up when you're drunk.

10) They're harder to find if you lose them.
