hey i have a 95 reg xj600n and it tends to shake alot between 2-4000 rpm and over 7000 and i was wondering is this normal or is there something wrong with it ? if so what might it be? cheers x

Does the bike actually shake, or are do you mean vibrate or buzz?

i mean vibrate. it vibrates the whole frame and you can feel it vibrating the bars.

Thats not as big a problem as shaking then, they all do it, sometimes you will notice that the buzz moves to a different part of the frame as you move through the revs?

couple of things might sort the worst of it out, get both wheels balanced as those small lead weights can fall off, get your carbs balanced if you can afford it too, mines used to vibrate at the right foot peg, it was the down-pipe to silencer join/clamp that was causing it !

hope this helps

Jim ;)
