Hi, Hopefully there is a wizz kid out there who can diagnose this problem I have:-

A few months ago the thrust bearing on the clutch went so I replaced it.

All has been well for a month or three then low and behold it went again. When I removed the clutch housing it was almost dry inside apart from a load of froth, (it looked absent of oil. which I thought was strange) anyway I have cleaned everything up, soaked the clutch plates in oil for a week replaced the trust bearing AGAIN! and put it all back together; - here's where the second problem arose, no matter how much I try to adjust the cable, at the clutch end and at the lever end, the clutch will not disengage, when I put it into gear whilst up on the full stand the back wheel goes around as you would expect, but, when I pull in the clutch lever the back wheel still goes around, and it doesn't slow down at all, it seems to be still in gear, when I rode the bike, the weight of the bike and me was enough to stop the bike travelling when I disengaed the clutch, obviously there is something not right but for the life of me I cna't figure out what it is. Can any one throw some light on it please?

they all do that sir!.

its the oil circulating that rotates the clutch basket, and the plates that do move induce the rotation.

Thank you very much.

I was a bit worried as it hasn't happened on any of my other bikes.

So does that prove that the oil is going into the clutch and lubricating it as the wheel is going around?
