Posted May 23, 201014 yr My '81 XV920RH leaks oil from the bottom of the crank case. Short of splitting the cases, is there any good way to seal the crankcase joint? I tried the recommended procedure of draining the oil, laying the bike on its side, cleaning the bottom of the cases and painting the joint with Yamahseal. Still leaks. Spitting the cases appears to be a major project needing several special tools. Is there any other approach that works?
