May 16, 201014 yr Click here. 1983, under the 1981 act, according to that. However, I am convinced that the minimum age for riding over 50 cc was raised to 17 on 1 January 1972, not 1971 as stated, so there's no guaranteeing the website's correct.

May 24, 201014 yr hi 1983 does sound right as i remember it was the year before i turned 17, what a bummer
