beerbaron
Hi I have an FZ600 1988. My front suspension is a little bit too soft. I'm planning on hardening it. I'm not sure if I should add and equal amout of ouil (2 tbsp) on both forks. Or add some air pressure into it. I think that putting aire pressure would be a better idea but is having the same pressure on both forks hard to do ? I have a compressor by the way. Moderator YamaHead Posted August 16, 2004 Moderator Share Posted August 16, 2004 As long as you've got air-caps on your fork legs, it's as easy as adding air to your tires 8) .....If you add too much oil........it could blow a fork seal, so be careful  Changing the fork springs is another option & not too difficult to do IF you've got the right tools & a bit of patience
jimjam
Don't use a compressor. Use a bike pump. It's only a few pushes. upto 11 PSI or there about. Try a lightly thicker oil. Go to Halfords and see their range.
