Hi guys, i have recently bought a yamaha xj600 diversion on a 92 plate it is a fantastic bike to ride but for some reason it is topping out at 70 mph it is very sluggish in 5th and 6th gear, i dont think its restricted has anyone got any ideas???

Hi Pete,

Could be fine rust from the tank that is slowing the fuel supply to the carbs at top end. I got a similar issue. Try swilling the tank out which can help. Next step is a carb strip. Let me know how you get on.
