Posted April 27, 201014 yr Ok so i have this 81 yamaha xj550 chopper i've been working on for a year now. It has short pipes and air pods on it. Also a dyno jet kit. The bike will start rite up and run good but not hold an idle. It also only runs good when the idle screw is turned out all the way. If you turn it in the idle goes high and says high when you give it gas. I've cleaned the carbs and still the same problem. Any help and ideas?
