April 29, 201015 yr Author i think it was a case of renewing the oil at very regular intervals. don't know the exact spec for the 500 thanks for that much. got in touch with a friend who specializes in honda restorations from 68-78. he suggested a two different types as well as changing the oil regularly to keep the cracking from happening.
