monty_onna_divvi Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Just got back from a short holiday on the south coast...... Apart from the usual games of dodge the old lady in the Honda Civic, found that the ride from Burton Bradstock to Weymouth is an absolute must for anyone riding in the area of Weymouth. Try it....you might like it!!!!! By the way the Swan Inn at Abbotsbury is biker friendly to the point where the owner actually wanted to talk about my machine ( sorry but rare round these parts, usually bikers are seen as the easy rider rebels that will start fights at the drop of a hat ). Any one else found a nice run with nice stop offs??
Guest JMW Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 To be honest, any of the South / South West coast blats are mental. My fave is Lyme Regis to Exeter, you can then pick up the coast road to Dawlish and on to Torquay and then lane it down to Plymouth. Deffo not for the faint hearted or those with a weak bowel control issue.....
jimjam Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Yep I agree. I got a hire bike and drove to lands end in a day. the ride after exeter on the back roads was superb.
XT Alan Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Agreed. The South West is great biking country. I love the coast road from St Ives to Westward Ho! I used to camp at a great site in Westward Ho! but it is now the site of a housing estate
