Mr GG Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Starts up first kick and runs exc. When using electric starter it takes a while...usually starts after a big backfire?? Only when I electric start it. Someone said starter brushes? If so...where are they located? Easy fix for mechanical guy but not mechanic?? Thanks

Thanks I would think the brushes are ok if the starter motor is doing its job...ie turning the engine. Check your spark plug gap is not too big. Ohh and you forgot to say hello ...Paul
