ANY help too decode this engine # E338-124542. would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. the only thing that i know for sure is that it is a snomobile engine.oh a it is a YAMAHA engine

    can't really help, apart from to suggest that you cast around the 'net (google is your friend) for a workshop manual for the model of snowmobile the engine is found in. Pretty much a .pdf of any yamaha workshop manual seems to found it's way on to the nest somewhere.
