cant get my 72 dt2 to start

ok i just bought a 72 dt2 and it ran great when i first got it home paked it and come out about two days later to ride try to start and nothing it has had all the electrical removed that was for road use all thatsa left is the neccesary to run but my prob is i try to kick start it and all i get is the whoop whoop noise like its about to start but nothing and ive rolled it off and as long as its rolling it will run but once stopped it dies ive already tested the spark drained all the gas out and put new in, drained the gear oil and replaced and cleaned the carb out and still nothing any help would be greatly appreciated
