need help jetting a DT50LC

hey guys

i have an otherwise stocks 1988 yamaha DT50LC with the boyesen reeds on it

i just ordered a podfilter (just a no name version from ebay)

the stock jetting on my carb is 100 on the main

what ballpark should i be in to make up for the reeds and the filter ?

Word has it that pod filters and two strokes are a bad mix, keep the original airbox.

If you dont agree and decide to do it anyway try a 120 in fact buy a couple of jets they are not expensive maybe a 120 and a 110. Plug chops will be the order of the day too. ;)

thanks for the heads up

in my expirience pod filters have been no issues as long as the jetting is done correctly and the bike is not constantly submerged in mud

truth be told, it has been almost 10 years since this little mishap

and the DT is my first 50cc twostroker since then

so im a little bit rusty

i used to have a whole box full of jets back then too, but 10 years and 5 moves later, who knows what became of them

i'll prolly buy a 4 pack ranging from 110 to 125
