removing the speedo glass on a 1974 dt175

so, the other day i removed my speedometer in order to put a fpam gasket under the thing to keep it from vibrating as much while driving. i had also noticed that the face scfrews were slightly loose and decided i would make a job of tightning them. when i took ogg the speedo and turned it over, a bunch of road grime and oil or water got inbetween the two glass pieces that make up the window face.

now i cant figure out how to remove the glass and clean it and also to tighten the face.

does anybody know how its done?
