HI, I'm working my way through rebuilding a 92 sr125, and in the process it looks like the starter clutch has given up. In order to get at it I need to remove the magneto.

I managed to get a puller bolt to fit the magneto, however I have not been able to source the sheave holder to hold the magneto. I recently found a 'FLYWHEEL CLUTCH PULLEY HOLDER SEALEY VS1811 MOTORCYCLE, and I was wondering if anyone knew if this would work?

I don't understand what you're trying to do! If you have removed the flywheel using your puller, the stator (under the flywheel) simply unbolts.

Hmm, I can see how what i said might be confusing. According to the service manual (not haynes)I should hold the magneto flywheel using a yamaha tool called a sheave holder, whilst using the puller bolt to remove the magneto flywheel.

If the puller bolt is enough, then thats fine, was just working my way through the manual, before i actually opened up the engine.

Darren.
