DTGordo
Hi all, Happy New Year! Mid last year I got hold of a plastic enduro tank which had had a couple of holes/cracks plastic welded. They were leaking when I got it and I started patching with a soldering iron and bits of plastic. Looks to work well for two leaks but one has been a pest to stop. Anyone got any tricks of the trade that might help? Ta, Gordo
essarjayauto
Hi gordo, there are not any easy tricks of the trade just experience. I do plastic welding as a business now, i could give it a go if you want ? Dont worry, just a couple of coins for a fellow yam owner !! p.m me if it's worth posting over, Jake. KevShek
You could try Q-Bond, have a look in your local motorfactors, the kit comes with 2 powders, grey for aluminium and black for plastics. Its meant o stick anything to anything and oil resistant, not 100% sure for petrol thou but its worth a try, its about £12 quid a kit.
