anderboogie Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Hello All!! I just bought my second bike at the age of 60 so I'm learning everthing anew. I'm also a complete computer luddite so apologies in advance for delayed replies as I've had these typing fingers for sixty years and I can't do a thing with them! By the by, are you all Brits here? I think I qualify, as the first time I "rode" a motorbike was sitting on the gastank of my grandfather's BSA in Fermangh,NI in the 1950's. Very fond memories, indeed. I don't quite understand how a group of Brit gearheads can be so witty- I'm constantly laughing at the repartee. All the best, and apologies for my Trimph riding brother in New York!!

I have my brother checking old photos to see if I can post them so you can help us identify my Grandad's bike. He was known to ride BSA's, Nortons, etc over the years. I think we have a photo of him sitting on the bike i remember in Maguiresbride in 1956 or so. My current ride, as I understand it, would be called an xvs 250 Dragstar in the UK. I absolutely love it!! All the best, ross
