Posted November 20, 200915 yr My son (lets blame someone else...) filled our Yamaha YBR125 (2008) up and put the petrol filler cap back on incorrectly, in that there is an arrow on the cap that is supposed to point forward. Instead the arrow points at about 8 o'clock. The result is that now we cannot get the cap off with the key. They key turns but the cap does not come off. Is it a matter of brute force and ignorance or has anyone any advice?

November 21, 200915 yr HI. You could spray it with WD40 inside the thread leave it to soak in topping it every now and then. then try to turn it. is that donsnt work the get a screw driver and a hammer and try to smash it round. this will destroy your cap but a least you may get it off. hope this helps
November 21, 200915 yr Moderator I would advise something a little more gentle than the hammer/screwdriver approach at first...try a strap wrench, you may even get one from your local Aldi store..i'm sure i've seen them in there.
