November 22, 200915 yr Post the numbers stamped on the frame headstock (as described by Blackhat 250) here. I have a Yamaha dealer only microfiche with production year of Yamahas made between 1961 and 1992 and should be able to provide you with an answer. If the engine is original, I might be able to do the same thing with the engine number. Bill

November 25, 200915 yr Taken from the Haynes manual for the DT125R The original DT125R(code 3DB1) model was replaced in 1989 by the 3RN1 model. Apart from the new paintwork and graphics the only change was to the top end of the engine, together with flat-slide carburettor. The 3RN1 model was superseded by 3RN2 at the beginning of 1990 and by the 3RN4 model at the beginning of 1991; differing only in colour and graphics. Later versions of the DT125R(3RN6,3RN7 and 3RN8) differed only in colour and graphics. Should have the Square section SW arm, oil tank on the off side, air filter nearside (in the UK) and a six wire CDI.
