Hi All

I have a 1980 dt250mx, took the head of to decoke broke a piston ring. So now have replacements (nos) 1 ring is L shaped now my dumb question is does it go in the top or bottom ring and which way up?

As the L or upside down.

Hi snappy-happer. yeh its in top groove, and L way up .. . Life is a learning curve ,, we"ll just get to kno it all , then it ends .

Oh by the way , how The,Fk did u manage to break a ring with just the head of ???????
