Hi all, hoping you can help me with a prob I have with my thunderace, bought it last Monday and started to remove fuel tank for a small service and noticed a knocking noise from the casing behind/side of the alternator this casing has the starter shaft and the shaft the runs the alternator.

I have a 7000k rev counter error code I've checked the exup value on the exhaust and it free to move so hoping so solve the problem of the knocking noise, is there a tensioner for the starter chain or is it only the cam chain that can be tensioned??
