Posted October 18, 200915 yr Hi all, Seem to have a serious voltage drain somewhere on the FZR. Brand new battery went in on Wednesay, was flat by yesterday. Any advice on how to find the prob (apart from sending it to an auto-spark!)?
October 18, 200915 yr Moderator Most likely culprit is the reg / rectifier unit, have you still got the spare one to substitute? there are checks you can do with these if you have a multimeter though...do a search. ...Paul

Not certain its a goodun - but cant hurt to find out. Just bit amazed that it totally drained a full charged battery in 36 hours!! I'll search as you suggest, can check electrics while head is being repaired
