Hi there all - I'm new here and I had a question for you experts.

There is a 1982 Yamaha DT100 Enduro for sale not far from me and I was wondering what you all thought about this model. I must admit I am a complete noob when it comes to these bikes, but I am looking for something that is cheap, dependable, easy to maintain, really fuel efficient, and can carry me and the wife around on the family farm.

The info I got from the seller says:

The top end of the motor is basically brand new and the motor has good compression. I put in new Weisco pistons and rings, new rod bearing, new head gasket, new plug and rebuilt the carb. Bike runs good and has plenty of power. It is a street and trail and I have a clean title!! Other than a tear in seat, the bike is in very good shape and the original paint on tank is in very good shape. These bikes are somewhat becoming collectible so grab this one up before its gone. Thanks.

What do y'all think? Should I drive out and take a look at this thing or pass? What would be a reasonable offer for a bike like this?
