hi im new to this website but i need some help with my yz 125 b 1975 its in rough shape but runs good i dont know if i should invest in a good resto or just let it be i do need a airbox and side panel. its a cool bike with straps holding the tank i love it also i would like to know what the stock front wheel size was it seems to be huge bigger than my mr 175 elsinore ?? any help would be appreciated basically what is she worth ??

yes 21 inch and what i find is it is 1975 but early cause it has straps on the tank and mostly all 1975 had mono shock wierd but cool imagine a 1974 yz but with yellow tank ??

The 1975 YZ 125 was a Twinshock, the 250 and 360 were first year monoshock bikes.The only differnce in the 74 and 75 YZ 125 is the color.

this site vmx i think has a 1975 comparison honda kawi yam etc for some reason they claim 75 yam 125 has monoshock hey do you know what the bike me be worth it kinda rough but runs well i also need a pipe airbox silencer and probably more most shops dont mess with the 125 but i think they are cool thanks

$500 To $800. 1976 YZ 125C and YZ 125X were first year monoshocks. The 76 C was introduced in 1975 but was a 76 model.

You can find the airbox on E BAY often. The 74 and 75 MX125 and MX 175 use the same air box.You will see the inner rear fender and the air box riveted to it.

tapeworm, try Reproduction Decals they have plastic too. If they don't show the graphics for your year, they might be able to make it for you. Source backup ignition parts, I found those bikes seemed to have electrical issues, but hey it's 35 years old! That's what caused my 76 YZ125 to die. Great bikes, no low end, some mid range, top end...... well mine comes on VERY strong!
