Guest miller
I have a 79 XS11, did carb rebuild last year. motorcycle ran 90% good, ran very rich, no choke use on cold starts and a rough idle. took bowls off and reset floats. now uses choke to start runs smoother, but when it warms up it goes to a high idle, about 4000 rpm and stays. any suggestions on the direction I should go, thanx. TylerP
Older bikes are prone to leaky intake manifolds. You can check by spraying something flammable around the manifolds and see if the engine reacts to it. Contact cleaner works good.
