Hi,

Am restoring a 1980 DT250 and cannot find a oil tank... until I do (and am guessing I won't) am running on pre mix 2 stroke at around 20 to 1. (have also disabled the oil pump).

No sure if this is the correct ratio - but working on the premise that more is better especially as I've just replaced the piston and rings.

Is this mix OK - any suggestions?

I am restoring same bike as well and have taken out the oil pump, think 20:1 might be a bit smoky but wont do any harm.

Just starting to strip and it down at the moment, hardest part was finding the side panels!

I have ben advised that 32:1 should be fine....
