Posted August 13, 200916 yr i have a 1978 DT400 i just picked up , wiring is all messed. i got a wiring diargram from a fellow member but im stumped, im not going to use any lights or anything, so what are the basic things that need to be hooked up for it to run without a battery? or run at all for that matter.

U"l need to check the CDI [Wired properly 6 wires] the Timing. manual will be of essence. i"v listed CDI .And pulsar coil for this model on fleabay,, a multi-meter will be of assence too
