Hi All

an update on the speed saga, i thought i'd have one last try sorting the bike out before i set it alight lol, phone a mate and he said check the 2 gaskets on the head and barrell, did this and found there was no gasket between the barrell and the block, luckily i have some paper gasket so made one, anyway i took the barrell off and checked that and found 4 gouges in the cylinder each one about 1.5mm deep and some scoring on the piston, even a non mechanicaly minded person like me knows this aint good, by luck i have a spare barrell and piston from another engine,

is there anything i should check before putting it all back together, i've given the barrell a good clean and oiled it and checked there's no crap in the cylinder but any advice will be appreciated,
